This handmade Ukrainian wood sign features a sunflower and the word Vitaiemo, meaning Welcome in Ukrainian. It brings warmth to an entryway, kitchen or living room and offers a meaningful greeting to family and friends.
The artwork is hand-burned into a 5 x 7 inch birch panel, then given a honey-coloured stain. The panel is raised approximately 1/4 inch above an 8 x 10 inch natural oak base for added depth. A rich brown wood frame brings the finished sign to approximately 9 x 11 inches. It has a built-in easel back for standing and hardware for hanging on a wall.
Every piece of birch wood has its own natural grain and character. The stain settles differently into each panel, creating subtle variations in colour and tone. Along with the hand-burned artwork, these differences make every Silver Bends sign unique.
